The Rookie: Feds cast: Who stars in ABC’s The Rookie spinoff?

It might have taken ABC a few years, but The Rookie universe is finally expanding with the release of ABC’s new crime drama The Rookie: Feds. 

From the creative team behind The Rookie, comes The Rookie: Feds which draws inspiration from the concept that helped launch the ABC drama with a twist. Rather than following the oldest rookie in the LAPD, The Rookie: Feds follows the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy, Simone Clark.

First introduced in a backdoor pilot in the fourth season of The Rookie, Clark is a former guidance counselor who decides to pursue a career in the FBI. Despite the deck being stacked against her, Simone proves to be a standout at the Academy but now must continue to prove herself in the field as she enters the world of the FBI following her graduation from Quantico.

Who plays Simone Clark on The Rookie: Feds?

Simone Clark is played by Emmy-winning producer and twice-nominated actress Niecy Nash-Betts, who first originated the role in the backdoor pilot of The Rookie. Nash-Betts is no stranger to the small screen having appeared in a number of shows over the years including Getting On, When They See Us, Scream Queens, Masters of Sex, The Soul Man and, most recently, TNT’s Claws. 

Who plays Christopher “Cutty” Clark on The Rookie: Feds?

Christopher “Cutty” Clark is played by legendary actor Frankie R. Faison, whose IMDb page is filled with roles from over a hundred films, shows and stage productions. Among the many shows and movies you might recognize Faison from are The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain, The Wire, True Colors, One Life to Live, Banshee, Coming to America, Do the Right Thing, White Chicks and The Thomas Crown Affair.

Who plays Special Agent Carter Hope on The Rookie: Feds?

James Lesure stars as Special Agent Carter Hope, a by-the-books FBI agent who joined the FBI after years of practicing law as a lawyer. In the show, Special Agent Hope is tasked with training Simone which proves to be a struggle as he and Simone don’t often see eye-to-eye on things.

The role of Special Agent Laura Stensen is played by veteran actress Britt Robinson. While Simone might be the oldest in the FBI Academy class, Laura was the youngest person to ever join the FBI’s behavioral anomalies unit where she worked as a criminal profiler. After a fall from grace, she’s looking to get a second chance on the newly formed team.

Robinson might look familiar to ABC fans as she’s appeared in Big Sky and For the People. The two shows are just a few of Robinson’s many acting credits as she’s all appeared in Girlboss, The Space Between Us, A Dog’s Purpose, Life Unexpected and The Secret Circle. 

Who plays Special Agent Matthew Garza on The Rookie: Feds?

Introduced as part of the backdoor pilot for the show, Special Agent Matthew Garza is played by veteran actor Felix Solis. It’s his team that Simone has her eyes set on and, as we’ve already seen, he’s put together quite a team.

Solis might look familiar to fans of the Emmy-winning series Ozark where he played Omar Navarro. His other credits include roles on shows such as NYC 22, Made in Jersey, The Following, The Family, Drew, Colony and The Good Wife. He’s also appeared in a number of films over the years including Empire, The Forgotten, My Soul to Take, and Man on a Ledge. 

Who plays Special Agent Brendon Acres on The Rookie: Feds?

Playing Special Agent Brendon Acres on The Rookie: Feds is actor Kevin Zegers who is best known for his role on AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. On the show, Zegers’ character is also fresh out of Quantico and is also beginning his career with the FBI after years of living it up as a professional actor where he played a cop in a fictional show called Vampire Cop.

In addition to his role on Fear the Walking Dead, Zegers’ other acting credits include roles on Power, Dirty John, Rebel, Grace Point and Notorious.
