Black Adam hits theaters on October 21 and DC movie fans must be thrilled to have Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) portraying such an immensely powerful character. For anyone who has watched a trailer for the upcoming film in the DCEU, Black Adam is someone who doesn’t mess around. If Superman was mashed together with Stone Cold Steve Austin (er, I mean, The Rock, of course; I’m sorry), then you might understand what to expect with the new movie.

Black Adam looks to present a godlike being who handles threats with aggressive destruction. He also doesn’t take kindly to being given orders or restrictions. In his own words, “I kneel before no one.”

As a movie-going experience, this looks epic, action-packed and filled with curiosity at where this character will land on the path to good or evil. With all of those powers, one can only hope he doesn’t take a turn to the Dark Side, but are his powers really that impressive?

According to DC, Black Adam has a list of powers in his bio and one might wonder if there’s anything he can’t do. When cast as the title character in Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson shared his thoughts on Instagram, including what Black Adam is fully capable of.

"“BLACK ADAM is blessed by magic with the powers equal to SUPERMAN, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line. He’s a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people – but he does it his way.”"

This means Black Adam is full of powers, rivaling the all-time greats of superheroes. He is listed to have super strength, super speed, flight, invulnerability, super human hearing and intelligence. Sounds pretty Superman-like, right? It doesn’t stop there. Black Adam also has immortality, teleportation, healing factor and magic!

Black Adam looks like an incredibly wild ride of a film, and with Dwayne Johnson’s enthusiasm (and exercise regimen) to back this project, it’s clear fans will get to see what this mighty character has to offer. It’s clear the lead actor is “pumped” to show this movie to the masses, and by the looks of his onscreen powers, he aims to swing for the fences.
