What is The Santa Clauses on Disney+ about?

According to Disney+, it’s been 30 years since Scott Calvin became Santa Claus and he’s “as jolly as ever.” But Christmas’ popularity declines, and that means his Santa magic is dwindling. Caught between keeping up with the demands of being Old St. Nick and being there for his family, he decides to retire. He has to find a worthy successor so that he can “become a better father and husband.”

The trailer reveals how the family moves away from The Pole and into the real world, how the successor he chose may not actually be right for the job, and a huge dilemma – elves are disappearing! Check out the video below:

Executive producers on the upcoming series include Allen, Jack Burditt, Kevin Hench, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, Jason Winer, and Jon Radler.
