With One Chicago on a break, other shows had a chance to fare well in the live TV ratings. How did they do? Here’s a look at all our favorites.

The three One Chicago shows tend to take the top spots in the live TV ratings on a Wednesday night. Well, the three shows were on a break on Wednesday, Oct. 26. That meant other shows stood a better chance as fans could tune in live instead of via streaming the next day.

As usual, we’re only looking at the scripted shows. That takes out the whole of CBS’s and FOX’s shows. It is worth noting that Survivor won the night in the demo and total audience, although the rerun of Chicago Med wasn’t too far behind.

Kung Fu and Big Sky up in the live TV ratings

The first hour of the night was good for Stargirl. It was up 11% in the demo and 20% in the total audience. We’re still waiting on a decision for this series. We’re just two episodes away from the Season 3 finale, and we’re a little worried right now.

The series is performing relatively well on The CW. It’s in the middle in the demo and audience. The problem is that it’s an expensive series, so we’ll need to see what the network decides to do.

For ABC, it was all about The Conners and The Goldbergs. The Conners was down 2% in the demo and up 2% in the total audience, while The Goldbergs was up 2.5% in the demo and up 6% in the total audience. I think the two are perfectly safe as well-performing comedies.

In the next hour, it was all about Kung Fu. The series ticked up 66% in the demo and 14% in the audience. These numbers sound good, but we have to remember that this is The CW. The series is doing well, though. It’s in sixth place in the demo out of all CW shows. It’s in seventh place in the total audience. I’d love to see The CW keep this series on the air, but recent decisions for Nancy Drew do have me worried.

Abbott Elementary was up 4% in the demo and 6% in the total audience, while Home Economics was up 11% in the demo and audience alike. I expect both of these shows to be renwed, although it does then make me question how the network will bring in new comedies.

Finally, it’s over to the 10 p.m. timeslot. ABC aired a new episode of Big Sky, which was up 30% in the demo and 11% in the total audience. I am concerned about the future of the show. It isn’t performing well across ABC’s dramas, but then it didn’t last season either. This may be a better show for streaming, so could we see it move to Hulu exclusively next year?
