Bold and the Beautiful recap (Oct. 31): Halloween frights with Sheila

The Bold and the Beautiful took a break from love triangles and custody struggles today for a standalone episode all about Sheila Carter.

Dressed as a sexy nurse, as a nod to her former profession, the infamous woman had transformed Deacon’s apartment into a spooktastic celebration of Halloween complete with fake cob webs, chocolate toes, and pumpkins everywhere.

The two have been shacking up for some time, but it was made clear that their time together is certainly coming to an end if Sheila has her way. She told Deacon that she’s coming up with a plan that’ll see her back around her loved ones without having to wear a disguise.

Deacon shot the idea down. However, that didn’t deter Sheila who’s grateful to her friend and lover for keeping her hidden but hasn’t let go of the idea that she’ll get to be a part of Finn and Hayes’ lives. In fact, Sheila expects to be spending Halloween with the two next year much to Deacon’s surprise.

Lauren Fenmore paid Forrester Creations a visit for the holiday. She’d been in-between flights and decided to pop in on Eric to talk about the Hope for the Future line. Based on what Lauren’s seen of the line via the design sketches, she fully believes she’ll be selling out of the new collection and be back to order more in the near future.

After settling business, Lauren joined Eric for a Halloween cocktail and the two took a chilling walk down memory lane as they discussed their encounters with Sheila. The Bold and the Beautiful provided a bit of history for viewers who may not know the dangerous woman’s long storied past both in Genoa City and Los Angeles.

Sheila’s threatened Lauren, nearly killing her in a fire after taking her hostage. Granted, this was after Lauren threatened Sheila herself and promised to ruin her. The two also got into a fight that included a torn wedding dress and a butcher knife.

After leaving Young and the Restless, Sheila found herself at Forrester as a corporate nurse. There she caught Eric’s eye and had a romance with him that spiraled out of control thanks to her clashes with Stephanie. The Forrester matriarch refused to accept Sheila as a part of her family and did everything in her power to prevent the marriage between her and Eric.

Between screaming matches, pool fights, and threats to even a baby Thomas Forrester, Sheila’s done a lot to provoke the ire and distaste of her enemies. But, as she told Deacon, she’s a survivor and all she’s ever wanted is to be loved. He basically told her that desire has brought her nothing but trouble, however, Sheila’s not willing to give up on what she wants.

So, while Lauren and Eric are happy she’s out of the picture, that’s not going to last long. Not even Sheila knows how she’s going to resurrect from her fake death, but it’s going to happen. The only question is when, but for now she’s celebrating her favorite holiday with a cackling laugh and her eye on the future.
