Who plays the principal on Young Sheldon season 6?

Though the Young Sheldon season 5 finale ended with the Cooper’s having a tough time, it seems like things are starting to look up for the family. In the Nov. 4 episode, “An Ugly Car, an Affair, and Some Kickass Football,” Mandy and Georgie are getting back on good terms. And there’s a big job update for George.

The family patriarch’s friend and former co-worker, Coach Wilkins, is going through a divorce with his wife after he found out she’s cheating on him. She’s also pregnant with the other man’s child. It’s such a shame because the two always seemed to be happy from what he would tell his friend.

The coach isn’t doing so well emotionally and the football team has an important game coming up. But he’s not focused on that at the moment. So Principal Tom Petersen asks George to fill. He does such a great job that the principal offers to hire him back and George accepts.

Who plays the principal on Young Sheldon?

Actor Rex Linn plays the principal in the show. He is one of the first faces we meet in the premiere episode of the series, which aired Sept. 25, 2017. Though Sheldon has long-since graduated high school, the principal still appears in some episodes. And now, it seems like the actor may guest star more as George will start working at the high school again.

The star earned his first major role in the 1989 film Night Game as serial killer Floyd Epps. Linn is known for his roles as Sgt. Frank Tripp in CSI: Miami and Kevin Wachtell in Better Call Saul. Most recently, he also stars in Big Sky as Buck Barnes. Fun fact – his girlfriend actress Reba McEntire is the lead in the series. She’s also appeared on Young Sheldon as Dale’s ex-wife and Connie’s on-again, off-again friend, June!
