The first weekend of November brought us a couple of new shows and a small change to Sunday’s lineup. Here’s a look at the live TV ratings for the weekend.

We’re covering two nights of ratings in this post, Friday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 6. There were some changes to the lineup on both nights, and it’s interesting to see how the ratings fared.

We’ll start with the Friday night shows, which saw the series premiere of Lopez vs. Lopez and the Season 3 premiere of Young Rock on NBC. ABC opted for a special, FOX had its WWE lineup, and The CW had one rerun during the night.

Meanwhile, Sunday saw a one-off episode of FBI Season 5. It’s the episode before Maggie’s return, so that meant handling what would happen to Shantel VanSanten’s Nina Chase. We also had one-off Sunday episodes of The Masked Singer and LEGO Masters. Usually, we don’t look at the unscripted shows, but as these are one-offs, we will in this case.

Friday TV ratings: Fire Country, Lopez vs. Lopez, and more

Friday started with a new episode of SWAT Season 6. While the series was down 2% in the demo and almost 1% in the demo, it was the best show of the timeslot. It was also the third-best show overall, just behind fellow Friday shows Fire Country and Blue Bloods.

Lopez vs. Lopez debuted on NBC, pulling in some good results. It brought in 2.5 million viewers, which was the second best of the timeslot and fifth-best overall in the night. The demo was at 0.3, which is nothing to grumble about. We’ll need to see how the show performs in the coming weeks.

Young Rock, by comparison, pulled in 1.8 million viewers and a 0.2 demo. These figures were down considerably from the second season, so I think Lopez vs. Lopez has a good chance right now.

In the next hour, Fire Country was down 14% in the demo but up almost 2% in the total audience. It was the best of the house, with 20/20 behind it. In fact, the only show that beat Fire Country on Friday night was Blue Bloods, which is where we’re a little concerned. While the total audience was strong and up about 4%, the demo was down 26% to 0.3.

Sunday live TV ratings: Family Law, FBI, The Rookie

Sunday night saw some changes. We’ll just quickly look at The Masked Singer and LEGO Masters. They both dropped in the 30s in both metrics. This isn’t too surprising when it comes to the shows airing on different nights. Not everyone will be aware, and some will have decided to catch up instead.

FBI also had a one-off episode. It ticked up 13% in the demo but was down almost 7% in the audience compared to the previous episode. This is good for a show that is airing on an unusual night, and airing straight after the football would have helped. It’s also a popular series.

It didn’t help East New York and NCIS: Los Angeles, though. The shows were down 28% and 11% respectively in the demo and 18% and 27% respectively in the total audience. I’m not concerned about East New York, but I am concerned about the future of NCIS: LA.

The CW was the only other network with scripted shows on Sunday. The live TV ratings were mixed. Family Law ticked up again, going up 100% in the demo and 23% in the total audience. Coroner was down 100% in the demo and 8% in the total audience. There aren’t too many concerns with these shows. They are Canadian acquisitions and make good summer options. Coroner is in question anyway with Serinda Swan stepping away from the show, but I have a feeling Season 2 of Family Law will be acquired.

Take a look at the Friday TV ratings and the Sunday TV ratings to see how your favorite shows performed.
