Spirted cast: Who’s in the Apple TV+ Christmas movie?

It really wouldn’t be the holidays without A Christmas Carol. This year, Apple TV+ is bringing us a modern retelling of the classic 1843 novella by Charles Dickens in the new movie, Spirited!

The upcoming film is a “hilarious musical twist” on the story by the infamous author, and told from the perspective of the ghosts for the first time, Apple TV+ shares. We’re going to be introduced to the Ghost of Christmas Present, who picks one “dark soul” every Christmas Eve to be reformed.

This person is visited by three ghosts, but this year something different happens. Scrooge Clint Briggs manages to turn the tables on Present, with the spirt actually looking back at his own past, present, and future, according to Apple TV+.

The movie is set to be released in select cinemas on Friday, Nov. 11. That will be your chance to see it on the big screens! If you’d rather wait to stream the film from the comfort of your home, then you’ll be able to do so when the production is added to Apple TV+ a week later on Friday, Nov. 18.

Actors Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds are the ones bringing on the holiday cheer! The two are the leading actors of the film, but of course there are other talents joining them. Here is the full cast list:

• Will Ferrell as Ghost of Christmas Present
• Ryan Reynolds as Clint Briggs
• Octavia Spencer as Clint’s executive vice president, Kimberly
• Sunita Mani as Ghost of Christmas Past
• Patrick Page as Jacob Marley

Ferrell also serves as one of the producers on the film. Taking charge behind the cameras is director Sean Anders, who also served as a writer and producer on the project. He co-wrote the script with producer John Morris. George Dewey, Jessica Elbaum, and David Koplan produce, with Diana Pokorny, Benj Pasek, and Justin Paul executive producing.

Spirited will be released in select cinemas starting Nov. 11 before streaming Friday, Nov. 18 on Apple TV+.
