Tulsa King, starring the great Sylvester Stallone, has made its premiere on Paramount+. The show follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a mafia capo from New York who’s fresh out of prison. He spent 25 years behind bars and expected to be embraced by his crime family only to be unceremoniously tossed aside.

Instead of being brought back into the fold, Dwight was sent to Tulsa, OK by his boss to supposedly “set-up shop,” but it’s more like he’s been sent out to pasture. Refusing to be underestimated and treated like a blast from the past who no longer knows the business, Dwight launches into a plan to build a new crew.

Tulsa is nothing like New York, the mobster might as well be in a foreign land for all that he understands the people, the culture, and the avenues in which he’ll need to navigate his fledgling criminal empire, but Dwight isn’t one to give up. He’s determined to make something of the space he’s carving out for himself, and his enterprise in Tulsa, come hell or high water.

Given the nature of crime dramas, it should come as no surprise that Tulsa King is rated TV-MA, but if you’re wondering about the content you could likely expect, here’s why the show is for mature audiences.
