Why fans are convinced Counting On’s Jessa Duggar is pregnant again

Former Counting On star Jessa Duggar is in the headlines this week after eagle-eyed fans started theorizing something major. According to The Sun, the 30-year-old author took to Instagram this week to share a video sponsored by Walmart. In the clip, she and her husband Ben Seewald got together with their children to do some gift unboxing. The items included are from the superstore, with her kids excited to play with all the goodies.

While Jessa might’ve thought this would be just like any other instance of spon-con, her followers were quick to speculate she might be expecting another child with Ben. The reality star is sporting a brown, babydoll dress in the video, which is seemingly being interpreted as maternity wear. Of course, that style of dress is in fashion right now, so there’s a high chance she just likes the style.

Nevertheless, her choice of outfit had enough fans rushing to the comments to say she might be pregnant again. Jessa has gotten pregnancy accusations like this in the past, so it’s not surprising it’s happening again. See the video:

“Someone looks like she’s expecting again,” one person said. Over on Reddit, according to The Sun, many people continued to theorize, with one writing: “I still think she could be pregnant. In the video where they filmed Fern’s [ultrasound], she didn’t look pregnant either and she was literally more than halfway through cooking her.” Another said, “Yeah, this dress could easily hide a bump until she is ready to announce.”

Jessa and Ben share four children: Fern, Ivy, Spurgeon, and Henry. Though we wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to have another, we just don’t know if that’s the case.

At the end of the day, we’d recommend not commenting on women’s bodies on social media or elsewhere, even if it’s just about a choice of outfit. Though Jessa is a celebrity, she does see the comments and she could get her feelings hurt because of them. Unfortunately, she’s hardly the only star who receives pregnancy comments like these. Kourtney Kardashian, for example, has clapped back at trolls who have called her pregnant on Instagram.

In Sept. 2022, one person decided to write on Kourtney’s Instagram: “Wait a minute, did I miss that she’s pregnant?” to which she commented back: “Nope, but you’re missing a woman’s body.”

Jessa is not known for clapback comments on social media so we’re not really expecting her to respond to the pregnancy rumors this time around. But, if she does react, we’ll be sure to let you know.
