Every dog group and breed competing at the 2022 National Dog Show
It’s that time of year again! One of the most popular bits of programming is coming soon and we’re all getting ready alongside our holiday feasts. No, we’re not talking about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, although that’s up there too. We’re talking about the 2022 National Dog Show that will air on NBC after the parade launches on Thanksgiving day.
The National Dog Show Presented by Purina will once again show off 212 breeds of dogs for viewers and audience members alike. The hosts for the year’s competition will be John O’Hurley, David Frei, and Mary Carillo. The show will air at 12 pm in every time zone on Thanksgiving day, which is Nov. 24.
You will be able to watch the two-hour long program both on NBC and Peacock. If you don’t know how judging works, basically the dogs will be judged based on temperament, their appearance which is based on the standard look of that particular breed, and their build.
In total, there are seven groups of dogs taking part in the 21st annual showing of the 2022 National Dog Show, which is hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. These include herding, hound, non-sporting, sporting, terrier, toy, and working dogs. You can view a full list of the breeds below.
