What is Treason starring Charlie Cox on Netflix about?
Get ready for a new spy thriller coming to Netflix! Treason, starring actor Charlie Cox as Adam Lawrence, makes its debut on the streaming service on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022. Though it’s not in the holiday genre, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the action-packed series!
Cox is no stranger to action, as he previously starred in Daredevil as Matt Murdock. The blind lawyer by day protects NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood as a vigilante with the name of the show’s title, fighting crime and working to uncover a conspiracy.
In Cox’s new limited series, which will have a total of five episodes, he will star alongside Oona Chaplin as Maddy de Costa, Olga Kurylenko as Kara Yerzov, Ciaran Hinds as Sir Martin Angelis, Tracy Ifeachor as DeDe.
So what can you expect to see in the new show? We’ve got the answer for you below!
What is Treason starring Charlie Cox on Netflix about?
Treason will center around Adam Lawrence (Cox), who is a MI6 agent with a successful career. Things get complicated in his world though when someone from his past, Kara (Kurylenko), reenters his life, Netflix shares. The Russian spy causes Adam to question everything in his life, and a “triangular relationship” begins to form between the MI6 agent, Kara, and Adam’s wife Maddy. The three are trying to expose each other’s secrets, navigate political relationships, and hold on to those they love, according to Netflix.
Matt Charman serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Foz Allan and Valery Ryan take on executive producing duties, while Louise Hooper and Sarah O’Gorman take the lead behind the camera as directors.
Netflix hasn’t shared a trailer yet. Hopefully that will come soon enough so we can get an even closer look at Treason. I’m certainly excited for the new spy thriller!
