Watch Courteney Cox hilariously surprise Friends fans at iconic filming locations

For many fans of the sitcom Friends, just visiting the iconic set where the show was filmed would be a dream come true. But for a group of very lucky fans who traveled to the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California, the unimaginable happened. Friends star Courteney Cox made a surprise visit to meet them!

According to People Magazine, the Monica Geller actress took to her Instagram this week to share a fun video of her photobombing fans who were taking pics at the most memorable set from Friends. This would be the beloved orange couch in front of the fountain from the opening theme. As you can see in the video below, fans had no idea when they were posing for photos that the one and only Courteney would be there. And of course, they freaked out when realizing it!

The lucky fans all sat down on the orange couch and were photographed, but not until they looked back at the pictures on their phones did they realize who was in the background. One of the women started crying once she saw the photo, frantically asking, “Is this happening right now?!” while others gasped and started looking around for the actress.

Needless to say, everyone was so excited when they got to meet Courteney. Watch the video:

At the start of the video, the Emmy nominee noted that she’s been working at Warner Bros. Studios, which is why she decided to visit the sets from Friends. She did not specify which project she’s working on, but we can predict it’s probably Shining Vale season 2 on Starz. The show was renewed back in May 2022, and the first season was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios.

It’s also entirely possible Courteney took this video while she was working on the first season of Shining Vale, but we’re assuming it’s probably more recent than that.

Though we won’t be seeing Courteney reprise her role as Monica Geller, fans are happy she still embraces Friends and will post about it all the time.
