When does Young Sheldon return with new episodes in 2023?

CBS’ The Big Bang Theory prequel series, Young Sheldon, has proven to be a hit with fans. It may not get the same level of attention that its predecessor received, but that doesn’t mean the show is any less popular.

For six seasons, we have seen the young cast grow up from the children they were when they started on the series, to the young teens they are today. The sitcom made its debut in September 2017. Six seasons later, here we are!

In January 2022, CBS shared the show would be coming back not only for a sixth season, but it gave the series the green light for season 7 as well. That means next year, we can expect to see more of the Cooper gang and the continued drama that’s in store for this family!

Since Young Sheldon first premiered, it has remained a staple in CBS’ fall TV schedule. This time is an important one for broadcast networks, who air returning fan-favorite shows and introduce new ones that can become potential hits. It’s a great time to be a fan because of all the content we get! So we can expect to see Young Sheldon season 7 premiere sometime in the fall of 2023.

Most of the past seasons have appeared in September, though season 4 made its debut in November 2020 – probably a bit delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic – and season 5 came on in October 2021. If we had to guess, it’s very likely the seventh season of the hit sitcom will make its return in September 2023.
