This ‘Sheila is Alive’ plot is on skates, and I can’t be happier about it, Bold fans. It looks like The Bold and the Beautiful won’t be dragging out this storyline. Instead, we’ll be getting to enjoy it to the fullest before we start brushing up against Christmas.

On today’s episode, Finn and Steffy (Sinn) called Brooke, Carter, Eric, Hope, and Liam to Forrester Creations to give them the news that Sheila’s alive. By the end of the episode, Steffy bumped into the infamous woman in Il Giardino’s bathroom of all places. Granted, Sheila was disguised and she’s definitely sly enough to get out of this jam come Monday but it’s exciting nonetheless.

Here’s the full recap of events!

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Curiously, the assorted group that Sinn had gathered initially went along with Hope’s assumption that they had been gathered so Steffy could give them news on Ridge and Taylor (Tridge). This was an odd writing decision that only seemed to serve the purpose of letting them all vent once more about Thomas’ scheming and tell the audience that Tridge are both away, but they’re not together.

Honestly, I’d love to see them return married. It’d show all of these characters who really do think Ridge is taking a moment before he makes the inevitable decision to fully commit to Brooke. Yes, he does tend to always choose her, but it would be nice to see Ridge do the unexpected and give his romantic relationship with Taylor a real try.

Anyway, the scene also gave us the information that no one has been in contact with Thomas. He’s apparently keeping a low profile and, as Hope reminded us, Douglas is back at the cabin on the Logan estate.

Blessedly, Sinn saved us from more Thomas slander by arriving and revealing the actual reason they called everyone. The truth that Sheila’s alive dropped like a bomb. They didn’t want to believe it, but Steffy and Finn laid out their case until the reality of the situation seeped in for the group. The couple also shared that they’d paid Deacon a visit to let him know and inquire if he knew of Sheila’s whereabouts.

Needless to say, Hope did not like that. While she didn’t quite argue with them for daring to speak to her father, she at least stopped pouting long enough to defend him saying that he wouldn’t have anything to do with Sheila. Sinn laid out their reasoning for why they questioned him which was obviously because he had a connection with her. Hope dismissed that as being a long time ago, but we know something she doesn’t know!

Steffy, however, told Hope that they believed Deacon when he said he didn’t know anything. He was just as shocked as anyone else. Kudos to him, to be honest. Deacon’s skills as a conman haven’t atrophied despite him being out of practice.

Assuring everyone that she has a security detail at the ready, Steffy attempted to settle everyone’s nerves as best she could. But none of the group could figure out how Sheila’s managed to stay under the radar for so long. They posited an old prison friend or her lying low in an off-road motel, but the only thing that’s clear to them is that they need to be on their guard.

As they should be, for as much as they’re all impressed with Finn’s discovery and Sinn’s detective work, the wool is being pulled over their eyes by Deacon. Not that I’m complaining. I hope he gets away with this lie. Someone needed to be in Sheila’s corner and, of course, it was him.

The two friends have had a deep, hilarious, flirty, and endearing relationship from the beginning. That was on full display in today’s episode. Sure, they argued at the start as Deacon made Sheila aware that she’d been found out. But that was their emotions running high as they panicked. Not to mention their care for one another.

Deacon doesn’t want Sheila to be sent back to prison, and he sure doesn’t want to risk his own freedom by extending their time together when the wagons are circling. She shared his sentiment, doing her best to let him know that she would not be the one to get him in trouble.

After they were able to bring the volume down, they had a bittersweet moment together as they both accepted that it’s time for Sheila to leave the apartment. Their last scene felt like a goodbye, but I hope it’s not. This dynamic duo is a delight onscreen.

Before the episode ended, Steffy left Finn at their table at Il Giardino to go call her mom. While she’s glad that both her parents are out of town while Sheila’s on the loose, she still wanted to check-in. She was doing so, drink in hand while in the restaurant’s bathroom, when she bumped into a woman who’d just walked in.

Apologetic, Steffy told her mom she’d call her back as she rushed to clean up the mess she’d made on her own clothes and those of the woman. However, she pulled up short when she noticed the woman was missing a toe. Cue the super close up on her face, Steffy’s gasp of Sheila’s name, and all of our excitement as we wait for Monday to get here already.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
