The Final of Strictly Come Dancing is just one week away (less actually!), which means the Glitterball Trophy will be won by one of the remaining five couples. Yes, it’s time for the Strictly Semi-Final.

With that in mind, Will Mellor and Nancy Xu, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, Fleur East and Vito Coppola, Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez, and Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał, all took on two dances in the Semi-Final, delivering some absolutely stunning routines. But was it a Semi-Final for the ages, and who shone when it mattered under the bright lights of Elstree?

Here are the Strictly spoilers, results, and scores from the Week 12 Sunday night show.

Strictly spoilers and results: Week 12 Leaderboard

The five remaining couples on Strictly took on two dances this week in order to land a place in the Grand Final. Due to how the dance order had worked out earlier in the show, we had an unusual amount of repeat dances this week, with three Paso Dobles, two Waltzes and two Charlestons.

Even with that, we were in for a fun night with plenty of memorable routines that made for a wonderful Semi-Final.

Here are the results from the Strictly Week 12 Semi-Final event, the scores, and the Leaderboard we were left with at the end of the night:

Hamza and Jowita – 76

  • Charleston – 9, 10, 10, 10 = 39
  • Waltz – 9, 10, 9, 9 = 37

Molly and Carlos – 75

  • American Smooth – 8, 9, 9, 10 = 36
  • Paso Doble – 9, 10, 10, 10 = 39

Fleur and Vito – 74

  • Paso Doble – 8, 9, 8, 10 = 35
  • Charleston – 9, 10, 10, 10 = 39

Helen and Gorka – 72

  • Waltz – 8, 9, 9, 9 = 35
  • Argentine Tango – 9, 10, 8, 10 = 37

Will and Nancy – 70

  • Paso Doble – 7, 9, 7, 9 = 32
  • Couple’s Choice – 9, 10, 9, 10 = 38

Who is in danger on Strictly Week 12?

There are just five couples left in the competition and it’s at this stage that it’s typically harder for the person at the bottom of the Leaderboard to escape. That said, if they are one of the most popular couples with the public, it’s quite likely. It’s hard, yes, but it can happen.

Will has proven to be popular with the public, but so have Hamza and Helen. And at this stage when there are three popular couples in the competition, one of them normally falls into the Dance-Off. If Will is topping the public vote, that could lift him out of danger, but with no ties on the Leaderboard this week, it’s going to be much harder to avoid the Dance-Off.

Meanwhile, Dance-Off champions Molly and Fleur are second and third on the Leaderboard, meaning that at least one of them will probably fall into the Dance-Off one more time. Both of them could, but right now, Fleur is the more vulnerable of the two.

On paper, Will vs. Fleur is a pretty strong possibility, but with so little points between the couples at this stage in the competition anything can happen.

Update, Monday December 12:The Monday night results show saw Fleur and Vito dance off against Will and Nancy. The judges said it was one of the hardest decisions to make this series as both couples deserve to be in the final. Craig and Motsi saved Fleur, while Anton opted to save Will. Shirley made the casting vote, choosing to send Fleur through to the Final, thus eliminating Will from the competition.

Will and Nancy did such a great job on getting to the Semi-Final of Strictly. They should be proud of how far they have come. Revisit their Couple’s Choice routine here.
