The Way Home and 5 Hallmark Channel movies coming in January 2023

Hallmark Channel‘s wonderful seasonal programming comes to its end in January with the premiere of The Dog Lover’s Guide to Dating on New Year’s Day. The movie follows Simon, a man who believes he’s found his dream girl. Too bad her dog doesn’t think he’s her dream man.

Determined not to let the pup get between him and Chloe, he enlists the help of Alex, a dog trainer whose skill should be able to help him make friends with Chloe’s dog. But as he gets to know her more, Simon wonders if his real connection lies elsewhere and not with the supposed woman of his dreams.

In January, the Wedding Veil film series continues with three new movies starting with The Wedding Veil Expectations on Jan. 7. The franchise picks up with Avery and Peter while they’re renovating an old house. They’re juggling work and trying to keep romance alive in their relationship but gain a new perspective when they receive news they’d been waiting on.

While Hallmark Channel is primarily debuting new movies in the first month of the year, there is a new original series set to premiere, The Way Home, which stars Andie MacDowell (Maid), Chyler Leigh (Supergirl), and Sadie Laflamme-Snow (Unicorn Academy). The show follows three generations of women who are reunited after spending two decades estranged.

While at her grandmother’s farm, Alice discovers she can time travel through the use of a seemingly ordinary pond on the property. Seeing an opportunity, she decides to go back and forth between the year 1999 and the present to find out why the relationship between her mother and grandmother fractured, and what she can do to fix it.
