A new ABC series makes its debut tonight! Will Trent, which is based on Karin Slaughter’s book series about the eponymous character, follows the special agent for the Georgia Bureau Investigation (GBI) as he solves cases.

Will was abandoned at birth and survived a harsh upbringing in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. He knows what it means to be left behind. In his work at the GBI, the special agent uses his unique perspective to ensure no one is abandoned like he was, it’s why he has the highest clearance rate in the Bureau.

What time is Will Trent on tonight?

The series opener airs Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at 10 p.m. ET after the newly minted two hour block of The Rookie franchise that sees the flagship now paired with The Rookie: Feds instead of airing on Sundays. Yes, that does mean if you love a good law enforcement drama, your Tuesdays are going to be booked. If you miss the episode, you’ll be able to stream it on abc.com or Hulu starting Wednesday.

Will Trent‘s pilot starts with a murder investigation that’s not so cut and dry. There’s more to the story that can be discerned at first pass, and Will intends to use his instincts and point of view to uncover what happened. As he does, he’ll also be reunited with a piece of his past that was formative for him. Said past helped to mold him into the agent he is today.
