Outer Banks season 3 spoilers: Will JJ and Kiara get together?

OBX fans, we are so ready for season 3! Netflix viewers are absolutely obsessed with Outer Banks, and who can blame us? The third season of the action-adventure drops Thursday, Feb. 23!

The next chapter in the mystery teen drama will see the return of all our favorite Pogues – Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Madison Bailey as Kiara, and Rudy Pankow as JJ. We’ve got the nasty father-son duo Charles Esten as Ward and
Drew Starkey as Rafe, as well as Austin North as Topper.

We’ll also be seeing much more of Cleo as actress Carlacia Grant has been upped to series regular! Season 3 will see a number of supporting cast members who we know, as well as some new characters.

One important aspect of the Netflix hit are the ships. I mean John B and Sarah are definitely relationship goals! What about JJ and Kiara? Is something possibly simmering between the two?

Will JJ and Kiara get together in Outer Banks season 3?

Though there’s obvious feelings on Pope’s part, it seems like he’s accepted that he and Kiara are just going to be friends. Kie made it clear that’s how she sees him. Now is her reasoning jut because she doesn’t see the two of them going anywhere, or could it be because she has true feelings for JJ?

The Pogues are a very close, tight-knit gang so of course when Kie saved JJ from drowning she was worried about him. But the way she clung to him seems to indicate her feelings are more than just friendly toward the sometimes troubled Pogue. Plus a couple of teases from the season 3 promotion shows there may be more between the two. In a new photo (check it out below!), Kie and JJ seem to be pretty close. The teaser trailer released by Netflix also shows a quick glimpse of a very tight hug between the two. Could more be coming up for the potential couple?

OBX 3 will see the Pogues still washed up on a desert island after they lost the gold and fled at the end of the second season. The group names their new home “Poguelandia.” While it at first seems like the perfect place to stay, until they find themselves “in a race for the treasure” once again, per the synopsis. The group of friends are broke and away from home, Ward and Rafe are looking for revenge, and a Caribbean Don who wants his own piece of the treasure. But we know no matter what, the Pogues will always stick together.
