The actress won Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.

The Golden Globes made a comeback after NBC decided not to air it last year after news came out that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) had no Black members and “engaged in unethical conduct,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. As a result, the awards show was boycotted and many reforms by the organization have been made since. Still, there are some celebrities who chose not to attend this year’s ceremony for that reason.
