A new young adult series is on its way to Paramount+! Get ready for School Spirits starring Peyton List, out on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

On premiere day, the drama will release two episodes on the streaming service. After that, one new installment will be released weekly on Thursdays. The finale of the eight-episode series is set for Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Taking the helm behind the scenes is showrunner and executive producer Oliver Goldstick, as well as creators Nate and Megan Trinurd who wrote the pilot episode. Max Winkler directed and executive produced the first two installments of the Awesomeness Live-Action Studios produced show.

What is School Spirits starring Peyton List about?

School Spirits, which is based on the upcoming graphic novel by the two series creators Nate and Maria Nguyen, is all about Maddie (List), a teen girl who is stuck in the afterlife, per the synopsis. As she investigates her mysterious disappearance from beyond the grave, she discovers more secrets and lies. Will she be able to find out the truth of what really happened to her?

The teaser reveals some others in the afterlife Maddie may lean on, shows glimpses of the teen trying to find answers, and her persistence in finding out the truth. Check out the video below:

Joining List onscreen are Kristian Flores as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zolinski, and Milo Manheim as Wally Clark. Recurring guest stars include Josh Zuckerman as Mr. Martin and Maria Dizzia as Sandra Nears.
