The bittersweet time for Riverdale to come to an end is almost here. The final season of The CW drama series is fast approaching. And we’re wondering how many episodes to expect.

The show stars KJ Apa as Archie Andrew, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Camial Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, among others. The characters have certainly grown and changed since we were first introduced to them back in 2017.

The CW has ordered a very good amount of episodes to wrap up its story. According to TVLine, Riverdale season 7 will have a total of 20 episodes. Plus, we have a premiere date! The news outlet shared that the final season is set to premiere Wednesday, March 29, 2023 on the network.

This isn’t completely uncommon, but many times the final seasons of shows will have a shorter episode count compared to its predecessors. But the network has decided to give this supernatural series a full order. Honestly, I feel like the episode count for the seventh season could be cut to have less installments. But either way, it’s so great that the fans will get a proper ending to the show we’ve invested so many years in!
