In the last episode of SWAT, the team were searching for a young boy who had been taken from a homeless shelter while his mom was at work. After finding her son missing, she flew into a panic and took the shelter employees hostage.

She had been working to overcome her addictions to provide for her son and unfortunately, Street let his past with his mother get the best of him. All he saw was that it was her fault, even though she had nothing to do with it. Eventually, Deacon had to take him off the case to get him to cool down.

The team soon learned that a gang was after the boy, although they have no idea what for. It’s then discovered that an informant had been killed in a warehouse near the shelter and the boy saw what happened. The janitor for the shelter had taken him to protect him since he reminded him of his own deceased son.

Things were complicated when the agent assisting them turned out to be a dirty cop and puts Tan in danger while trying to find the kid. Luckily, the team arrived to save them, but the janitor would soon die of injuries sustained earlier in the episode.

In addition, the episode also found Hondo and Nichelle having different opinions when it came to baptizing their baby. Nichelle was against it due to constantly having religion pushed at her while Hondo is not religious, but still feels like he wants this done. He soon realized that it’s because it makes him feel like it’s a safety net around their baby.

Nichelle eventually decided to go through with it, as long as she can pick out the church. After that exciting episode, what will happen in SWAT on CBS tonight?

According to the synopsis for “Atonement,” the team will be trying to stop a terrorist attack in the city.

"The SWAT team participates in a joint task force with the FBI when a car bombing has ties to a terrorist group planning an attack in Los Angeles. Also, a tragedy from Deacon’s past gives insight into the origins of his faith, and Luca and his brother, Terry, battle over a new family revelation."
