Who went home on The Bachelor season 27 tonight? (Jan. 30, 2023)

The newest season of The Bachelor officially kicked off last week, where we got to meet the 30 lovely ladies competing for Zach Shallcross’ heart. The first rose ceremony sent home a pretty sizable group, with there being 20 contestants heading into episode 2. In tonight’s episode, we got to see Zach choose his first date with Christina, along with two group dates that were pretty fun to watch.

We’re really getting to know the women now as Zach figures out who his early favorites are. Who do you think has a chance at winning so far? It’s too early for me to tell!

Former Bachelor contestants Victoria Fuller, Courtney Robertson, and Tahzjuan Hawkins appeared in tonight’s episode to play judges for the first group date, with rapper Latto also showing up to host the activity. In a surprise move, Tahzjuan asked Zach if she could stay to join the competition, but he turned her down. The second group date saw the ladies putting on puppet shows. Some were funny, and some were… not so much!

Zach’s date with Christina was especially special as he brought her to his mother’s birthday party! There, she got to meet Zach’s closest family and friends, and she realized she really missed her daughter and needed to tell Zach about her. Fortunately, Zach was excited to hear about her child, though he did admit it did scare him a little. In his confessional, he said he’s not sure if he’s ready to take on that commitment.

Three women were sent home during the second rose ceremony of the season, with the number of contestants heading into episode 3 now being 17. Here’s everyone who was sent packing in week 2.

We can expect another one-on-one date and more group dates next week on The Bachelor season 27. So far, there hasn’t been much drama between the contestants which is honestly refreshing to see. But only time will tell when the tension gets too high. Multiple women dating the same man seems impossibly hard and some of the contestants are already feeling the pressure pretty badly.
