We got a slow start to the week with Monday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. However, the groundwork for a plot involving Hope and Thomas has begun to be worked in now that the soap has circled back to the possibility of the talented designer resuming his duties on the Hope for the Future line.

As for Taylor’s guilt ridden storyline, she’s potentially leaving incriminating evidence of her bad deed around for someone else to find down the road. And, surprisingly, Steffy has reached out to Brooke for help in ensuring her mother makes it through this rough patch without winding up in a jail cell.

Here’s the full recap of events from the Feb. 6 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

The soap returned us to two conversations today. Once again Steffy and Taylor argued about the latter turning herself into the authorities. Taylor’s convinced that she’s the only way Sheila will be put behind bars. If she admits to the crime she committed against Bill then that’ll free Steffy and Finn up to press charges.

It’s faulty logic, as Steffy points out, because there’s no guarantee Sheila will actually go to jail but Taylor without a doubt would be arrested. Still, she won’t let the idea go and it’s beginning to scare Steffy. Enough so that she showed up at the Logan cabin to ask for Brooke’s help.

When she arrived, she’d interrupted Brooke’s conversation with Katie. The two don’t see eye-to-eye on Taylor’s actions. Katie won’t refer to Taylor as a monster, but she does have complicated feelings about the psychologist now. She can’t believe that she shot Bill and nearly took Will’s father away from him in the heat of her own anger.

Brooke, however, barely entertained Katie’s ire. She’s Team Taylor now and that means she’s not going to see Taylor be held accountable for something she’d done years ago under duress. Besides, Bill’s only holding this over them all because of Sheila.

When Katie left, Steffy and Brooke discussed Taylor’s spiraling. Steffy felt like she didn’t have anyone else to reach out to–remember Ridge isn’t in town–and she knows how close her mother and her former stepmother have grown. She even acknowledged that it’s been an adjustment getting used to sharing Taylor with Brooke, but she knows she’ll do what she can to help as well.

Brooke’s made it very clear she’s going to make sure Taylor doesn’t ruin her future over this blackmail scheme of Bill’s and Steffy feels the same. But, with Taylor at her house jotting down what she’s done into a notebook, that could prove difficult. We don’t know what Taylor’s going to do with what she’s written, but if someone finds it that’s going to be problem!

light. Related. Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (Feb. 6-10): Hope vs. Thomas

Thomas makes his case to Hope about his future with the line

Back at Forrester Creations, Thomas paid Hope a visit. Once again he slipped past Charlie, the company’s head of security. They really do need someone more competent, my goodness. Anyway, he caught Hope looking at the most recent designs for her line and it was clear she isn’t a big fan of them.

Thomas pitched her the same idea she’d pitched to Steffy. They could bring him back to work on Hope for the Future in a remote capacity. He doesn’t even have to come to the physical building. Interestingly, Hope was still touting the line that rehiring him isn’t up to her even though Steffy clearly put the ball in her court. In fact, it took Steffy laying out the issues with Thomas making a return for Hope to stop thinking about her career and focus on the damage such a move could do to her family.

She and Thomas talked about the trust he’d broken and briefly touched on Douglas’ disappointment with his father’s actions but the bulk of their scenes had to do with Hope’s line not deserving to suffer. Thomas picked through his grandfather and cousin’s design, noting how it was beautiful but essentially basic. It doesn’t push boundaries like his work does and that’s why Hope needs him.

The episode ended before we got an answer from Hope about how she feels regarding Thomas’ potential rehire but she didn’t exactly seem that put out by the idea when talking to him. So we’ll see. Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
