The Neighborhood season 5: Who is Mark Adrian? (The Neighborhood dedication explained)
CBS comedy The Neighborhood is currently on its fifth season as of February 2023, and we can’t blame the network for loving it as much as we do! It always manages to make us laugh. Unfortunately at the end of the the Feb. 6 episode, there was some sad news shared.
The series stars Cedric the Entertainer, Max Greenfield, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Hank Greenspan. Season 5 episode 12, “Welcome to the Bachelor Party,” saw Marty’s plans for the future come as a surprise to Calvin and Tina, while Dave’s wild side came out at Marty’s bachelor party.
Though it was filled with fun and laughs, we saw a sad moment at the end right before the credits. The show paid tribute to Mark Adrian. Who was he, and what was his role on the series?
The Neighborhood season 5: Mark Adrian dedication explained
Adrian was the chief lighting technician on The Neighborhood, according to his IMDB page. He died Jan. 5, 2023 at 58 years old, IATSE Local 728 shared. The organization is a group for studio electrical lighting technicians in Hollywood. It is not known why or how Adrian suddenly passed away.
The shot at the end of The Neighborhood episode read “In loving memory of our friend Mark Adrian” with a photo of the crew member beside the text. The behind the scenes employee worked on 16 episodes during season 4 of the CBS comedy from 2021 to 2022.
Aside from The Neighborhood, Adrian also worked as an electrician and lighting board technician on Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous during season 1 and 3, as well as an electrician on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide in the third season. Cast and crew members always become close while working on a show, and this is a sad loss for everyone involved in production.
