Who’s ready to rock? We absolutely cannot wait for the premiere of Daisy Jones and The Six on Prime Video! The highly-anticipated musical drama is set to premiere Friday, March 3, 2023 with the first three episodes. New installments of the 10-episode season will then be released weekly until the finale on March 24.

The series stars Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Camila Morrone as Billy’s wife Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as guitarist Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as keyboardist Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as guitarist Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as drummer Warren Rhodes, Timothy Olyphant as band manager Rod Reyes, among others.

The show is based on the best-selling book of the same name by author Taylor Jenkins Ried, who produced the project alongside actress Reese Witherspoon through her production company, Hello Sunshine. If this star is leading behind the scenes, we know the series is going to be great!

The drama will portray the rise and fall of the fictional, titular rock band. That’s right. The musicians aren’t a real group. The story takes us back to the late ’70s when Daisy Jones (Keough) and Billy Dunne (Claflin), lead the band to success, per the synopsis. However after reaching those heights and experiencing sold-out shows, the band breaks up. Decades later, their fans are going to find out just why that happened.

While the story isn’t directly based on any true events, the author of the novel did share that the two main characters and their relationship is partly inspired by the tumultuous relationship between real-life singer Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.
