The Bold and the Beautiful recap (Feb. 27): Deacon makes a request of Sheila

We got off to a slow start this week on The Bold and the Beautiful with Monday’s episode but what the soap has brewing sounds promising. After all, Deacon’s grand opening as the new owner of Il Giardino is coming up. And, while he’s inviting the expected people such as Brooke, Hope, Finn, and Steffy, they’d all be surprised to find out that he’s hoping that Sheila shows up as well.

This could be perfect for Sinn who spent the episode talking about how they’re going to find a way to put Sheila back behind bars but they didn’t get anywhere plan wise as Bill’s blackmail scheme is air tight. They’re going to need new material and finding out Deacon and Sheila have a romantic connection no one’s aware of could be the smoking gun they need.

That is, of course, if the two get caught. It’s been months and not a soul has caught on. But, with Sheila struggling to keep her distress over missing Deacon a secret from Bill and Deacon continuously entertaining Sheila at his place of business and now at his apartment, they just might slip.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Hope’s been trying to keep herself occupied with Douglas no longer living at home. She dropped by Il Giardino to chat with her father before heading to work. Hope informed him that her mom had a date with his employee (and friend), Hollis, because she wanted to make sure he was aware, but she didn’t have to tip toe.

As we knew, and as her dad told her, he’s fine with Brooke dating someone he knows and he’d learned from Hollis that she’s not in a place to be dating right now. Plus, Deacon recognizes his and Brooke’s ship sailed, he’s focused on his restaurant. Hope was happy for him, but she still wants her dad to let love in his life…what she doesn’t know is that he already has.

He’d texted Sheila asking her to come see him because it was important. Turns out the urgency was about the opening of Il Giardino under his ownership. He’d extended an invitation to Hope and Brooke which the former gladly accepted. Sheila, however, was not as receptive.

She’d spent her morning affirming that the wandering look Bill keeps seeing cross her face is about her desire to see her son, Finn, and grandson, Hayes again and be a part of their lives. He has no clue that she’s actually been pining for Deacon right under his nose.

Once Bill said he had to go conduct a conference call, Sheila used that as an excuse to do what she needed to do as well which was to go see Deacon at his apartment. He’d quickly cleaned up before she arrived and the two had yet another emotional conversation about their relationship.

Sheila has been working hard to ensure no one knows about their connection, and his need to see her is hindering that. Interestingly, she can’t seem to stop running to him, so if they get caught it’s going to be on both of them. Anyway, Deacon filled her in on why he asked her to come over. He wants her at his opening.

He knows it’s a risk, he’ll even settle for being able to see Sheila from across the room, he just really needs her there. As he explained it, she’s the reason he’s the proprietor of Il Giardino in the first place. Sheila gave him the kick in the tail he needed and inspired him to go after something he wants.

Deacon doesn’t believe the cruel words she’d flung at him the last time they spoke are how she truly sees him, but that was how he saw himself and he doesn’t want to do that anymore. He wants to make something of himself and she inspired that desire to change, so he wants to acknowledge the good Sheila’s brought to his life.

Sheila didn’t give him an answer either way, but if she shows up for the opening that could cause a stir since Steffy and Finn are going to be there as well. Hope invited the couple on her father’s behalf when she found them talking in the main office at Forrester Creations.

She’d walked in on them discussing how to take Sheila down though they hadn’t gotten far in their plan to take the infamous woman down. Well, put more accurately, they didn’t have a plan just a lot of gumption. But Hope agreed that Sheila needs to be put back behind bars before she hurts someone.

Hope also couldn’t imagine how anyone could feel sympathy let alone develop feelings for her. Boy, does she have a storm coming for her if she ever finds out about her Dad and Sheila. She wants him to be in a relationship with a nice, stable woman who grounds him. Sheila is only one of those things and it’s not nice and stable.
