The Mandalorian season 3 made its premiere Wednesday, March 1 on Disney+. The highly anticipated continuation of Din Djarin and Grogu’s story has been years in the making as fans have waited since Dec. 2020 to be brought back to the world their show has created.
Granted, the back half of The Book of Boba Fett functioned as a kind of The Mandalorian season 2.5 as we got to see how the beloved duo were reunited after being separated in the second season finale, but it’s good to see them back on their own show. If you skipped Boba’s series, you’ll need to tune into episodes 5-7 to get that plot which will be helpful considering the season opener for Mando’s third season doesn’t go into it.

The Mandalorian season 3 episode count
Typically, new seasons of the hit Star Wars live-action series have a total of eight episodes. Disney+ didn’t stray from that count for the third season, so viewers can expect to be along for the ride into April with season 3. New episodes will release weekly on Wednesdays.
