Thomas got his wish today on The Bold and the Beautiful. He was welcomed back to Forrester Creations by none other than his sister, Steffy. Looks like Taylor’s intervention in their feud paid off because the two are on better terms and it’s clear Steffy thinks that without him Hope for the Future will only continue to sink.

Remember, she told Eric and Carter that she needed to make a decision about the line that put the company first even though she knows that’ll be hard for Hope to accept. For now the brand has been put on pause but that’s only so they can recalibrate and hone Thomas’ vision for where Hope for the Future should go next when it comes to designs.

His return isn’t completely out of Hope’s hands. Steffy did give her the choice to rehire Thomas as lead designer on her line though I doubt that the Co-CEO wouldn’t bring her brother back to the fashion firm in some capacity even if it’s not to work on Hope’s brand.

How did Hope feel about this situation? Here’s the full recap of events.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

The soap didn’t exactly drop us into the drama of yesterday’s episode ending where Hope questioned whether her line was going to get the axe. Instead, we were returned to their discussion minutes later where it was apparent Eric and Carter had left so Steffy could talk to Hope.

The numbers aren’t on the Logan’s side and though she argued for the meaning behind the brand being of more importance, that’s not how Steffy operates nor is it feasible for Forrester Creations. Steffy had an idea for how they could fix things though it wasn’t one Hope was prepared for.

She sent Thomas a text asking him and Taylor to come to the office. The two had been enjoying some grapes together talking about the progress Thomas had been making in therapy and how grateful he is that Steffy has been allowing him to see his son. They, too, were surprised to learn that they’d been called to the main office so Steffy could make Thomas a job offer.

It’s her belief that the only way Hope for the Future can be successful is with her brother as lead designer. The proof is in the numbers. She no longer wants Eric and Zende to be splitting their time between Hope’s brand and couture when their expertise is the latter.

Steffy explained that Hope’s fans adore her. She has millions of people following her on social media and she’s well respected in the industry. It’s not Hope’s position that she’s concerned about, she’s a wonderful brand ambassador, but in order to be an exceptional one she needs a designing genius to match the clothing to the message. It’s imperative.

Hope was blindsided and put on the spot. She wasn’t aware that the siblings were back on speaking terms. Taylor acknowledged that was her doing though she wouldn’t say that she “forced” her children to reconcile as Steffy put it. She meant it when she said she’d never give up on her son and part of that conviction has been making sure he has his family as a support system.

Steffy admitted that she still needed to speak to Ridge, but it was obvious that ending Thomas exile and welcoming him at Forrester Creations is a done deal in her mind. All that needs to be decided is if he’ll be working on Hope’s line and the ball is in Hope’s court with that decision. The episode ended without her answer, so we may get it in Friday’s.

I can say that whatever her choice, Liam isn’t going to be happy about Thomas no longer being persona non grata with the Forresters. When he was visiting Deacon at Il Giardino, he told his father-in-law that Steffy knows Thomas coming back is a no go. Obviously, they aren’t on the same page in that regard.

He and Deacon also talked about Hope struggling with Douglas not being at the cabin and her line being in trouble. These two don’t generally have one-on-one scenes, so it was interesting seeing them have not only a civil conversation but also express their concern about Hope to each other.

After speaking with Deacon, Liam went over to his father’s. His disdain for Sheila was very apparent, but she didn’t seem to care. She and Bill had a nice morning together, and Liam’s appearance gave her an opening to go talk to Deacon.

Liam once again laid into Bill about his relationship with Sheila. He knows his father likes to go against the grain. He’s a rebel, and he doesn’t make the choice you’d think he’d make. But that doesn’t mean his romance with a woman his whole family despises didn’t come out of left field and leave everyone reeling.

Bill, however, refused to explain himself to his son. He also shut Liam’s dive into his childhood down. Bill has no intention on letting Liam use his past against him especially when it has nothing to do with his present currently. But he did taken in Liam pushing back on the idea that he’d blackmail Steffy like this when he knows how much she means to him.

Can’t wait to find out where that conversation goes next. I feel the same way about Sheila and Deacon’s. She came by his apartment which surprised him because they’d said goodbye to one another, but she said she didn’t mean what she said. Again, they’re playing with fire but there’s no telling who could get burnt by it.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
