It’s always hard to watch character deaths, and Dean Miller’s death is certainly not one we want to revisit much. When did it happen in Station 19?

We need to know when characters are going to die in shows if we know that it’s going to happen. This helps us prepare for the trauma of losing a character. It also helps us know when to skip episodes if we don’t want to watch the deaths again, or which episodes to watch to see how characters die if we missed them the first time around.

Dean Miller left the series partway through the fifth season of Station 19. This was Okieriete Onaodowan’s choice to leave the series rather than just something to add to create drama and grief. Of course, the death did create both, but it wasn’t just a creative decision.

Which episode of Station 19 is Dean Miller’s last?

Which episode do you need to watch if you want to see the death play out again? You’ll need to watch Station 19 Season 5, Episode 5. It’s the first hour of a crossover event with Grey’s Anatomy, although you don’t actually need to watch the Grey’s episode to see it all play out. That episode just confirms what we pretty much all know has happened.

There is a gas explosion during the episode. Vic and Miller are both affected by the gas, but Miller’s injuries are far more serious.

Vic’s ambulance pulls in first and the doctors act fast. The second ambulance with Dean rolls in with its sirens off during the Grey’s Anatomy episode of the crossover. It’s clear from that moment what has happened. Miller has died on the way to the hospital from his injuries. We didn’t even need to see Warren’s face as the doors opened to know this.
