Silo on Apple TV+ release date, cast, trailer, and more

Another book series is getting the television adaptation treatment. Apple TV+‘s upcoming show, Silo, is based on the novel series by author Hugh Howey. The three main books are called Wool, Shift, and Dust. There’s also three short stories and a graphic novel.

The sci-fi drama is created by showrunner Graham Yost, with Hugh Howey, Nina Jack, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, Ingrid Escajeda, and director Morten Tyldum taking on executive producer roles.

Here’s all we know about the production ahead of its release!

Silo release date

The series will make its debut Friday, May 5, 2023 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on premiere day. The duo will be followed up with one new installment weekly on Fridays until the finale. The last episode is set for Friday, June 30, 2023. The streamer gave the show a 10-episode order.

Silo synopsis

The title refers to a mile-deep building protecting residents from the toxic air, per the synopsis. The last 10,000 people on earth are living in it, but no one knows when or why it was built. If you try to find out, there’s “fatal consequences.” And speaking of, the story is centered around Juliette, an engineer who tries to find out how a loved one was murdered. And the more she digs, the more complicated the mystery. And that revealing the truth is dangerous.
