Hayden Panettiere stars in Scream 6, but she is no stranger to the franchise. The actress has faced Ghostface before as her character Kirby Reed. Not caught up on all of the movies? Where have you been! Or hey, maybe you have seen every Scream  movie, but want a refresher on Kirby. In which Scream movie does Kirby first appear?

Are there spoilers ahead? No! If you have not yet watched Scream 6 in theaters, please note there are no spoilers ahead about Panettiere’s fate or role details.

In which Scream movie does Kirby appear in before Scream 6?

Kirby Reed is a former resident of Woodsboro and the sole survivor of the Ghostface murders in Scream 4, the deadliest movie in the franchise with the body count at 11. At first, some assumed Kirby had died since we don’t get a conformation at the end of the movie, but Scream 6 confirms the rumors that she is alive. In Scream 6, Kirby is back after learning that Ghostface is back.

Where can you watch Scream 4?

Want to rewatch (or watch for the first time) Scream 4? You’ll need to head on over to Paramount+, where the movie is streaming. And while you’re there, why not rewatch every movie in the franchise as Paramount+ is the streaming home for Scream.

Scream 6 is now playing exclusively in theaters. That’s right, no streaming release yet, it’ll be at least a couple of months before we can enjoy the movie from home. When it does leave theaters, the movie will likely go to Paramount+ since that’s where the first five movies are.

It is rated R for strong bloody violence, language throughout, and brief drug use. The movie stars Jenna Ortega, Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, and others. Will you be seeing the movie in theaters this weekend or wait for the streaming release?
