After six years and five seasons, it’s time for Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to take its curtain call! The Prime Video series first graced our screens in March 2017, and now it’s time to say goodbye when season 5 premieres soon.

The period comedy-drama set in the ’50s and ’60s was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino. The duo also serve as writers and directors on the project. Following the events of season 4 where Midge rebuilt her career and reputation, where is this fifth and final season going to take the central character?

The show is set to premiere its final season on Friday, April 14, 2023 with the first three episodes on Prime Video. Going forward, one new installment will be released weekly until the finale on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Prime Video isn’t giving away too much when it comes to the synopsis, but the streamer did give a tiny tease. The titular character is going to think she’s as close to success more than she ever has been, until she realizes that “closer than ever” is actually still far away, per the synopsis. The streaming service shares the final season will be “epic, hilarious, and emotional.”

Of course the titular character herself will be returning! Actress Rachel Brosnahan will portray the beloved Mrs. Maisel one final time.
