The Bold and the Beautiful recap (March 24): Sheila doesn’t trust Bill

Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila took a hard look at Bill and asked him if he’s playing games. As much as she wants to believe that he’s being truthful about wanting to spend the rest of his life with her, she’s not naive and she’s been burned too many times. Also, let’s be honest, Bill’s been showing his hand.

I was as skeptical as Deacon when Sheila told him that Bill doesn’t want a pre-nup. He’s a billionaire living in California where she’d automatically be entitled to half of his fortune if they were to split. It’s fishy that he wouldn’t want to protect his assets regardless of how much he says he believes in the love that he and Sheila have.

Not to mention, we know that he was darn near losing it while waiting for her to return from Deacon’s because he wants this crusade he’s been lodging against her to end. Sheila’s questioning whether she has Bill’s heart and she should be. He was losing his temper on the phone with Ridge and the FBI agent assigned to their case due to the fact that things have not been going to plan.

Sheila spent most of her time this episode checking in with Deacon on what she should do. As much as he cares for her, he told her to accept the possibility that Bill is telling the truth and he does want her to be his wife. It’s a payday for her, upon saying “I do” (and signing that marriage certificate) she’d become one of the richest women in the world. Deacon would never stand in the way of the type of windfall. He told her to go get her future.

Sheila, however, couldn’t quite settle, so when she went home and found Bill in the living room waiting on her with candles lit, the fire going, and rose petals everywhere, she pushed back on the idea that he really wants her. She wanted to know what’s really going on and, though we didn’t get an answer from Bill just yet, his reply is going to have to be good because Sheila’s spidey senses are tingling and something isn’t right here.

Meanwhile, across town, Hope was feeling like all was right in her world. After an awkward conversation where she brought up her comment about him being hot, the two settled into a nice work flow once Thomas assured her that he wasn’t expecting anything from her. He’s aware that her heart is with Liam and he’s really got his head focused on the Hope for the Future brand. The two are happy to be working together again which showed clearly when they were discussing a beautiful, beaded gown meant for HFTF’s new collection.

They’d been going for an elegant, yet tough and sexy vibe, and they landed on a look that captured their intent and then some. Hope feels like Thomas is able to read her mind and the pair ended up saying the same thing at the same time as they admired the dress on their fitting model. Looks like things are good between them…at least for now. Liam accepted this partnership but that doesn’t mean feathers won’t get ruffled down the line.
