Demon Slayer season 3 (also known as Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village) kicked off the Spring 2023 anime season with a strong start! So much so that there’s no way we can even contain our excitement about what’s to come.

Naturally, we aren’t the only anime fans who can’t get enough of this third season, as the anime community has been patiently waiting for this arc ever since the anime’s debut. After all, this is the arc where we’ll get to learn a little more about the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, and the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito. What’s more, we’ll learn a little more about Muzan Kibutsuji’s malicious plans to overtake society and turn everyone into his loyal demon subjects.

All in all, the hype behind Demon Slayer season 3 is absolutely deserved and we don’t want you to miss out on a single episode, which is why we want to tell you all about what you can expect in the weeks ahead.

Demon Slayer season 3 episode count

Keeping in mind that Demon Slayer season 1 has 26 episodes, while season 2 has 18 episodes, it’s somewhat difficult to say with certainty how many episodes season 3 will contain, especially because we have no official word just yet.

Even so, many sites report that there will be at least 12 episodes in the Swordsmith Village Arc, an estimation that we think checks out for the most part since the first episode of season 3 was an hour long.

In the same breath, since the Swordsmith Village Arc has one of the longer arcs in the manga—expanding from chapter 98 to 127—we may receive even more episodes than we think. We’ll learn soon enough, so stay tuned!

As we wait for more information regarding Demon Slayer season 3, be sure to head to Crunchyroll (and Hulu) to stream the anime every Sunday!
