Will there be a season 2 of Buddy Daddies?

It’s been over a week since we said goodbye to the first season of Buddy Daddies, also known as one of the most wholesome anime series of this year.

The 2023 anime series told a story about the lives of two hitmen who unknowingly took the life of a young girl’s father, leading to them having to take care of the adorable toddler despite having no clue how to raise kids. Although the journey was difficult at the beginning, especially since the child was very rambunctious and unpredictable at times, they still made it their mission to tend to her every need like a loving parent would.

Like many, you’re probably wondering if you’ll ever get a chance to see this anime series again. After all, there are tons of similar anime series that received new installments because of their popularity. But will Buddy Daddies ever return? Or is this the last we’ll see of this anime? Is there going to be a second season of Buddy Daddies?

With all things considered, we can say with certainty that Buddy Daddies will not return for a sophomore season.

The 2023 anime concluded its final episode of season 1 with a huge time skip. There, we saw the older versions of Rei, Kazuki, and, most importantly, Miri, who is now a fully grown young woman. With Miri no longer needing anyone to watch after her, it’s safe to say that the season 1 finale wrapped up most, if not all, loose ends.

Of course, we can never say never, as there is always a possibility that the anime will resume in some fashion. Be it seeing Miri grow up into a full adult or observing how Rei and Kazuki live their days in the future, we’re sure there’s a good amount of stuff we’ll be able to watch. Only time will tell!
