April has been a pretty slow month for Disney+ thus far. At this point, there hasn’t been much added. Even so, that’s not to say that April is going to be a wash. If anything, April is going to have a few exciting Disney+ movies and show releases including some anticipated movies.

As always, there’s always some more Star Wars content. Of course, part of the rise in popularity is because of the recent Star Wars celebration. There is so much more content coming our way for the rest of this year and beyond. It’s a lot to be excited about.

Before all of that though, we still have the rest of April to get through but with another heavy TV week, you’ll be wanting to tune your remotes to Disney+ for something.

New Disney+ movies and shows to watch this weekend

As I said, it’s a pretty slow month thus far and this trend is continuing into the second full week of the month. Either way, let’s get into the releases from this past week.

  • The Owl House, Season 3, Episode 1 (April 9)
  • Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet, Season 11 (April 12)
  • Rennervations, Season 1 (April 12)
  • The Mandalorian, Chapter 23 (April 12)
  • Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Season 1 episodes (April 12)
  • Kliff, Season 1 episodes (April 12)
  • It’s All Right!, Complete Season (April 12)
  • Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (April 14)

All in all, it’s not a massive release week for Disney+ but there is a bit of something for everyone. If you’re looking to get caught up on some shows or start a new series, you’re in luck. As for the lone Friday release, there’s actually going to be a short featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit who we rarely see featured in any sort of Disney media.

No matter what you’re craving this weekend or if you’re just looking to unwind, I’m sure Disney+ will help you feel even a tiny bit relaxed after a stressful week.
