Waco: The Aftermath is a Showtime series that follows the aftermath of the siege in Waco, Texas and how the surviving Branch Davidians faced justice in the wake of the standoff against the FBI. Waco: The Aftermath follows the events of the 2018 Showtime series Waco, which starred many of the same cast members. In Waco: The Aftermath, it focuses on the court case and how the Branch Davidians who survived the siege faced justice. The five-part mini series is set to premiere on Sunday, April 16, at 10/9c.

According to the synopsis on Showtime, it’s a “five-part drama series portraying the searing aftermath of the disastrous FBI 1993 standoff at the Branch Davidian compound- an event that galvanized American militia movies and helped radicalize Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and many others.”

One of the lead actors in the series is Michael Shannon, who plays Gary Noesner in all five episodes. Noesner was the lead FBI negotiator during the standoff.
