Every now and then, TV shows change up their cast. All American has already seen one major change, but is another coming in the form of JJ’s exit?

Since being upped to series regular in All American Season 4, JJ finally got a bit more development. That’s certainly been the case this season as he’s gone to college and tried to grow up a little, like the rest of his friends. However, he is still the life of the party.

Well, he was up until the last few episodes. After his friend’s drug overdose, JJ decided to take a step back from everything. However, he crashed and burned in the latest episode. Is this a sign that JJ is leaving the show? Is this the last we’ll see of Hunter Clowdus on the series?

Is Hunter Clowdus leaving All American?

As of right now, it doesn’t look like JJ is going anywhere. There are no signs that Clowdus is leaving the series, which means the character is safe.

The latest storyline is to give JJ more character development, and that’s all we’ve really wanted since Clowdus was supposed to series regular. That meant more screen time and more of a chance to learn who he is as a person—and not just the party boy.

Clowdus has shown no signs of wanting to leave the series. He still has fun on set with the rest of the cast. Of course, we could have said the same about Taye Diggs and then we got that shocking exit. This is a little different, though, as the storyline that seems to suggest an exit for JJ is more of a storyline that could see the character grow up.

We’ve seen other characters go through major changes and emotional shifts. They’ve all grown up for one reason or another. Now it’s JJ’s turn.
