Sam Raimi is the creator of the horror franchise. The film director and producer is also known directing the Spider-Man trilogy, Drag Me to Hell, and, most recently, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In the upcoming Evil Dead Rise movie, however, Lee Cronin takes over as writer and director.
