What is the Lifetime movie Breaking Girl Code about?

Breaking Girl Code, also known as A Dangerous Match, premieres tonight. This Sunday offering on Lifetime is a thriller that follows a young woman named Andi. She’s recently moved to a new city in a bid to be closer to boyfriend. She had hoped that she’d find a job in publishing but that didn’t work out and her relationship falls through.
Looking to find some kind of bright side in all of this, and combat a case of loneliness, Andi decides to sign-up for the friendship app BFF. It’s supposed to pair the user with someone they would hit it off with and Andi’s looking to strike up a friendship with the women in her area. It’s through BFF that Andi meets Farrah and for a time all is well until Andi realizes every friend Farrah’s made is young, beautiful, and she met them through BFF.
Once Andi meets Farrah’s boyfriend, Ethan, she starts to put two and two together. Ethan is using Farrah and the friendship app to lure unsuspecting women. She decides she’s going to expose him and this entire operation in order to protect herself and the other girls, but she’ll have to move with efficiency because if she’s caught, things could take a deadly turn.
Breaking Girl Code Lifetime release date
The movie premieres Sunday, Apr. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Lifetime. If you miss the debut of Breaking Girl Code, it’ll re-air on Monday, Apr. 24 at 12:01 a.m. Next day streaming will be available on mylifetime.com
