Who is RJ Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful?

RJ Forrester–full name Ridge Forrester, Jr.–made his return to Los Angeles in The Bold and the Beautiful on Friday, April 21.

The character, who first debuted on the daytime soap in 2004, is the son of Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester. He’s their only child together as they each have children with other romantic partners. RJ’s siblings are Rick and Bridget Forrester, Thomas, Steffy, and Phoebe Forrester, and Hope Logan. He’s the youngest of this blended family.

Currently, the actor in the role is Joshua Hoffman. He’s best known for his work on Talia in the Kitchen and the movies Do Not Go Gentle and Deadly Runway. RJ was last portrayed by Love, Victor‘s Anthony Turpel in 2018.

How old is RJ on The Bold and the Beautiful?

The last time we saw the Forrester heir, he was a teenager. When Hoffman was cast in the role, it was announced that he’d be playing the character as an adult. It’s the first time RJ has been portrayed as a young adult on the soap.

From what the soap has shared so far, RJ is a globe-trotting influencer who’s spent much of his time away from home because he doesn’t want to get caught up in his family’s drama. As such, he’s reluctant to take up Ridge’s offer to work at Forrester Creations, he’d rather establish his own brand and name for himself.

Thomas mentioned that RJ is almost done with school so presumably he’s going to be finishing his degree soon. The Forresters are big on higher education whether in business, marketing, or fashion. There’s been an emphasis on RJ’s artistry and mind for innovation and creativity, so we’re likely to see that play out onscreen while he’s in town.
