Sam is one of the main characters in the series as we have closely followed his story. The footballer is portrayed by 26-year-old Toheeb Jimoh. The English actor was born in Brixton, London. Most fans know him as Sam from Ted Lasso, but he also stars in the BCC TV movie Anthony as Anthony Walker, and, in addition to Ted Lasso, can currently be seen in Prime Video’s The Power.

In the series, Sam is from Lagos, Nigeria, and began his career with Richmond as a defender before moving up to right winger. He had a brief, but passionate romance with Richmond owner Rebecca Welton before she broke things off.
