When is The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Peacock?

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will head to Peacock some time in 2023. That is the first streaming home, but when exactly is the release going to happen?

You’ve seen it in theaters at least once. If you have kids like me, they wanted to see it a second time. And maybe a third. That means you need it on a streaming platform already.

We know that the movie is heading to Peacock first. After that, it should head to Netflix for a while as Universal’s animated slate has a deal with Netflix to go there around four months after the Peacock release. But the first place to watch at home is the NBCUniversal streaming platform.

This can be as early as 45 days from the release in theaters. That would have put the release in the middle of May, but the movie is not on the list of releases. That’s not too surprising when you consider how popular it is in movies. We’ve seen the more successful movies in the theaters take a little longer to head to Peacock.

When will The Super Mario Bros. Movie come to Peacock?

Updated: July 6, 2023 – The film will be available to stream on the platform starting Thursday, Aug. 3.

Peacock can’t take longer than four months from the theatrical release to bring the movies. So, with that in mind, we’re looking at around Aug. 5 as the latest date for The Super Mario Bros. Movie to head to Peacock. We could have to wait that long.

That would then mean waiting until closer to the end of the year for it to head to Netflix. We’ll know more once we have the Peacock release date.

Peacock doesn’t release its monthly slate until much closer to the time. We sometimes get confirmation of the release date about a month out for some of the bigger releases, so we’ll keep an eye on this family movie to bring you the latest updates.
