The Hunger Games movies in order

New to this film series? Here’s how to watch them in order:

  • The Hunger Games
  • Catching Fire
  • The Mockingjay – Part 1
  • The Mockingjay – Part 2

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel that takes place nearly 65 years before Katniss Everdeen’s tale. Once it releases, it’ll be up to fans to determine whether they want to watch Collins’ story in the universe’s chronological order or to start with Katniss before learning about Coriolanus Snow’s youth and the charming Lucy Gray Baird.

Due to the film’s November release date, it likely won’t hit streaming until January or February 2024. The prequel will likely stream on Starz first before an exclusive run on the Roku Channel and then it’ll head to Peacock. We’ll keep you posted on The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes‘ streaming release date.
