Some revivals and spin-offs from an older movie or show work, and some don’t. Thankfully, NBC comedy Night Court, which serves as a sequel to the ’80s sitcom of the same name, is the former! And tonight, we get the season 1 finale. What time is it on?

The series stars The Big Bang Theory‘s Melissa Rauch as Judge Abby Stone. Actor John Larroquette reprises his role from the original show as public defender Dan Fielding. The television production also stars India de Beaufort as assistant district attorney Olivia, Kapil Talwalkar as the court’s clerk Neil, and Lacretta as bailiff Donna “Gurgs” Gurganous.

Last week in “The Honorable Dan Fielding”, we saw Dan being offered the job he’s always wanted – a judge back in his hometown in Louisiana. Abby and her fiancé Rand throw him a goodbye party, which he leaves early after getting too emotional. Our favorite judge gets busy trying to help a defendant out, leading to her not finding time with Rand as well as landing her in jail. And it’s Dan she needs to get her out!

What will happen next? We’ll find out this evening. So when do you need to tune in? We’ve got the answer for you below!

What time is the Night Court season 1 finale? (Where to watch)

The Night Court season 1 finale airs tonight, May 9, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. The episode will also be available to stream on Peacock the next day. Tomorrow, the full 16-episode season will be on the streaming service. So what can we expect to see from the finale?

According to the NBC synopsis, in “The Honorable Dan Fielding Part 2,” Abby ends up going on trial after landing herself in jail, with she and Dan “fighting for her professional life.” Elsewhere, Abby and Rand’s relationship is at a crossroads, and District Attorney Jeff Dewitt is back to get Olivia to choose sides. With Dan possibly leaving for the new job, does that mean the actor is leaving the series? We don’t have that kind of confirmation yet, we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the finale!

Thankfully, the comedy has already been renewed for a second season! Though at this time, production will be delayed due to the ongoing WGA strike. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote as we bring you updates about the second season.
