Fire Country exclusive clip: Vince and Sharon prepare for Bode to come home

FIRE COUNTRY stars Max Thieriot (SEAL TEAM) as Bode Donovan, a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining an unconventional prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region. It’s a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son until his troubles began. Inspired by series star Max Thieriot’s experiences growing up in Northern California fire country. FIRE COUNTRY airs this fall on Fridays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. It’s an exciting time on Fire Country as the hit freshman series hurtles toward its season finale. Episode 21, “Backfire,”–the penultimate episode of the season–sees star Max Thieriot pulling double duty sitting in the director’s chair and embodying Bode’s anxious energy as he awaits his parole hearing.

“Backfire” is an episode that’s liable to have fans on edge as we chug closer to an answer on whether Bode will parole or not. Unfortunately, the synopsis doesn’t give us any clues.

"The station 42 and Three Rock crews are called to a backfire started by a private firefighting company to protect a high-end winery but instead threatens to grow out of control."

We’re prepared for the high octane drama that this series has become known for both while fighting fires in Edgewater, California and with the personal relationships and dynamics between the characters that can run the gamut of heartwarming and incredibly messy. But what’s got us hanging on to the end of our seats is where the writers intend to take the show based on Bode’s parole verdict.

Thankfully, Hidden Remote can provide a small clue with this exclusive sneak peek!

Vince and Sharon prepare for Bode to come home on Fire Country

As you’ll notice in the video, Vince has already cleared a cubby right next to his at the station so he can have his son by his side. Sharon’s also ready to celebrate. They don’t have word that Bode has paroled, but they’re hopeful and even have a drink to commemorate their son coming home, though Sharon’s careful to simply put juice in their glasses as a precursor to the liquor she has waiting for them at home.

There is, however, a moment at the end of the sneak peek that likely has nothing to do with Bode. Sharon lied to Vince when she said that Sacramento was calling her. It was actually his brother, Luke. Remember, last episode, it’d been revealed that Vince had cheated on Sharon when he was grieving the loss of their daughter, Riley. Luke, who’d been on an apology tour since coming onto Sharon, couldn’t believe that Vince would cheat and then have the audacity to lord his own mistake over him as if he’s without mistakes himself.

We’re certainly curious to find out what Luke has to say to Sharon, who is aware of Vince kissing another woman. Hopefully there isn’t a twist coming our way that reveals her husband did more than kiss that night. We’ll have to watch “Backfire” tonight at 9 p.m. ET on CBS to find out!
