911 and 911: Lone Star fans love the crossover events after the first big one. Sadly, the flagship moving to ABC is going to make them harder to do.

It didn’t take long for 911: Lone Star to make it clear that it was in the same universe as the flagship show. Judd mentioned the firefighter who survived the metal pole through his head. That was in reference to Chimney surviving at the start of 911.

Then the shows were able to crossover. When Texas has a serious wildfire, firefighters from around the country were called in. That included a team from LA, which included Hen and Buck. Since then, fans have wanted to see more crossovers.

The best way to do it with the pandemic was through a video call. When Carlos worked a case, he ended up on the phone to Athena, who believed he’d make a good detective.

Will there be more 911 and 911: Lone Star crossovers?

The crossovers have always been hard to do. That’s partly due to just how ambitious the schedules for the two shows are. The two shows have tried to make things work. Even during COVID, there was an attempt to make it work.

With 911 moving to a new network for Season 7, it looks like the crossovers are even more unlikely, according to TVLine. Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming for Fox Entertainment, shared that it would be very hard to do things with the two shows on separate networks. 911: Lone Star will remain on FOX while the flagship series moves to ABC. It wouldn’t just mean navigating the separate filming schedules, but also the airing schedules. We still don’t even know if the two shows will end up on the same night!
