The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: The soap is going to Italy!

Get ready to hop on a plane with The Bold and the Beautiful because the soap is preparing to take viewers to the gorgeous city of Rome. The last time the daytime program was in Italy was for Hope and Liam’s first wedding.

The two tied the knot in front of townspeople who came to celebrate them as they were married cliffside. It was a joyous occasion that was soon marred when Hope found out that Liam had a brief dalliance with her rival Steffy when he’d been under the impression that Hope had stood him up and had left him a jilted groom. The two didn’t end up signing their California marriage certificate because of this and weren’t husband and wife.

It’s been 10 years since that plot unfolded in 2013. While Liam and Hope are married now, we can’t say it’s happily as Hope has been struggling with her romantic feelings for his rival Thomas. She’s yet to act on her attraction to him, but he’s beginning to pick up on it as is his sister, Steffy. This could lead to some unexpected developments that could play out in these Italy-based episodes. Here’s what more we know!

According to the Italian iteration of The Hollywood Reporter (as translated by Google), there is supposed to be a fashion show held during these episodes. Given the focus on the Hope for the Future collection that the line’s namesake and Thomas are working on, it’s likely that we’re finally going to get to see the beauty they’ve been excitedly talking about at the fashion firm and to buyers. The last trip the two made together was to San Francisco.

They’d only been stranded for a short time but it was long enough for Hope to slip further into her feelings for Thomas and be shaken by it by the time she returned home to Liam. She even went as far to tell Liam that the trip would have been even better if he’d come along. Perhaps that’s why the characters expected to appear in the Italy episodes are Hope Logan, Thomas Forrester, Liam Spencer, Steffy Forrester, Brooke Logan, Ridge Forrester, and Carter Walton. Every character listed works at Forrester and would reasonably come on the trip except for Liam who is an outlier.

Plot details aren’t available at the moment, but that leaves room for quite a bit of speculation. Will Liam and Hope renew their vows in the country they got married in the first time around? Carter has blessed the unions of many a pair on the soap before and would have no problem with helping the couple to recommit themselves to each other.

Or, will the worst happen, and Liam learns of his wife’s wandering eye and torn heart while they’re supposed to be lovingly strolling down memory lane? And how about Ridge and Brooke? They’ve been somewhat keeping their distance so that Brooke can honor the pact she made with Taylor to be done with their ex, but how long can that possibly last?

We certainly can’t wait to see these episodes unfold on our screen. Daytime Royalty Online has posited that if the soap runs uninterrupted, we could be watching the Italy adventure come June 16, so less than a month from now. Here’s hoping that’s the case!
